How To Shovel Snow Without Hurting Your Back

Experience, age, and back problems have evolved my technique of shoveling snow. 1.) Get a good shovel. I recommend one with an angled handle and large scoop. 2.) Shovel frequently, don't let the snow accumulate to a point where it is difficult to manage. Think divide and conquer in terms of time. 3.) Push the snow to the side and use gravity to your advantage if you have an elevated driveway. 4.) Shovel in small amounts. Lesser weight means lesser strain on your back.
